San Juan is served by the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Upon arrival, participants should plan to take either a taxi or ride share to UIPR. The trip by car is approximately 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the airport. San Juan is served by two rideshare companies, Uber, and Pink Cab (also known as Pink Car). Pink Cab is a rideshare that has all women drivers and is committed to transporting women and children safely. There is no readily available public transportation from the airport to the university.
The address of the University is Carretera # 1 (Highway # 1) and Calle Francisco Seín (San Francisco Sein Ave), San Juan, 00926. The University is located at kilometer marker 16 3 on Highway # 1. Please note that there is another Calle Francisco Sein located in a different neighborhood in San Juan. The main entrance to the University is off Calle Francisco Sein.
Conference participants should plan to arrive at this address before 6:00 and proceed to the front entrance of the main building off Calle Francisco Sein. They will find further instructions posted regarding housing and registration. Registration will open at 1 pm on Wednesday. The opening plenary session for the conference will begin Wednesday evening at 7 pm.
